AuditLog and REST Tunneling
pronubes Version 1.4
Greater transparency, control and secure external connectivity
With version 1.4, pronubes is expanding its platform to include two key features: Audit Log and REST Tunneling. The Audit Log improves the traceability of relevant system events and supports organisations with governance, security and the monitoring of user and access activities. REST Tunneling creates controlled interfaces for external systems. Data can be exchanged securely with pronubes without the need to set up traditional VPN connections or configure inbound firewall rules.

AuditLog
Track system events and user activities
The AuditLog records relevant activities in pronubes and provides central traceability of user, connection and access activities. This creates a reliable foundation for governance, security and the controlled operation of industrial data infrastructures.
REST Tunneling
Connect external systems securely and with full control
REST Tunneling enables defined REST interfaces to be configured in pronubes and made available to external systems. Data can be transferred via webhook or retrieved selectively without providing direct access to the internal production network.
pronubes 1.4 Webinar
Discover what’s new in pronubes Version 1.4. In this webinar, we will show how the new Audit Log improves transparency and governance, and how REST Tunneling enables secure external connectivity without traditional VPNs or inbound firewall rules. See how these features support controlled industrial data flows, external systems and AI use cases.

Secure data transfer to pronubes
pronubes provides the technical foundation for Data-driven Production by seamlessly connecting machines, production systems and enterprise applications. Production data is collected across sites, standardized and made available in real time for analyses, decisions and automated processes.
REST Tunneling allows external systems, applications or suppliers to transfer defined information to pronubes in a controlled manner. Access is provided through clearly defined REST endpoints without granting the external system direct access to the internal production network.
External system
An external system, enterprise application or supplier provides defined information. This may include status information, messages, order data, quality information or analysis results.
REST Tunneling
The data is transferred to pronubes through a defined REST endpoint. This creates a controlled communication channel without requiring a traditional VPN connection or an inbound firewall rule for the production environment.
pronubes
pronubes receives the information and makes it available for subsequent processes in a controlled manner. The data can be standardized, processed, combined with other sources and integrated into existing applications or processes.
Production / AI
The integrated information can be used in production processes, workflows, analyses or AI scenarios. This makes data available precisely where it creates operational or analytical value.
Controlled external connectivity
External systems only receive access to the explicitly provided endpoints and functions. Internal machines, applications and OT networks remain protected from external access.
Conclusion
Version 1.4 makes pronubes more transparent, traceable and securely integrable into external data flows . The AuditLog records relevant system events as well as user, connection and remote access activities. It therefore supports governance, security and controlled monitoring of industrial IT/OT infrastructures.
In combination with suitable backup and restore concepts, the recorded events help provide better context for incidents and recovery processes. REST Tunneling also enables the controlled connection of external systems and AI applications through defined REST endpoints without a traditional VPN connection or inbound firewall rules for the production environment.
